    I really need help getting my account back…

    So my account was being used by my former friend cause my account was on his Xbox. He used it to send gross messages to my friends, changed profile picture to graphic nude, and used my bank card to make purchases. I told Microsoft everything, tried to keep him out of my account even put on a pass key but Microsoft locked my account. They said they would help with an account recovery and asked me some security questions. I know I answered most of them correctly but must have gotten one wrong so they closed my case. I waited a week to hear back from them only to get that.

    My account is still locked; I submitted a review of my account and still nothing. I’m really getting frustrated here. Starting to think I shouldn’t have included Microsoft in this in the first place because they locked my account and barely did anything to get me back to gaming; just made a bigger more impossible obstacle. I spent loads of money on games and Microsoft services I would have thought as a paying customer I’d be getting better service. Doesn’t help I have to do all my exchanges with them on chat as when I phone them their connection must be powered by a potato and they keep disconnecting. Even so, when I do get in touch with someone they are pretty much useless.

    Really in this scenario, the one who actually violated the terms of use is winning and Microsoft seems to be letting them get away with it as I just heard from a friend the same guy hacked into his account and did the same thing! I mean I reported this guy a week ago and he is still getting away with this?

    I just need help. Like playing games is my escapism and hobby and it’s not fair I have to suffer for the cruel actions of someone else. If anyone has any advice or any loopholes for me so I can get my account unlocked and start playing again I’d be elated. Just anything would be of great use.

    Sorry but no one here can help as we don't have access to that info.

    The only place to get an answer is in the ban/suspension forums
    forums.xbox.com/.../41.aspx

    If your post didn't appear there then you've probably been answered via a pm.

    An email would of been sent to the address linked to your account explaining the ban as well.

    It's not really a violation to allow easy access to your account. It is however someones responsibility though, so if someone else does something that results in an enforcement action you can't blame the other person.

    I did fill out the form already but I honestly don’t know what question I’m getting wrong. This account was made almost 10 years ago and I can’t remember the password to get into the email attached to the account, and can’t remember the contact phone number. I struggled with addiction for a long time and a lot of my memory is not what it used to be. Those are pretty much the only questions I could be getting wrong. I know the password to get into my Microsoft account but when I tried to change it when all of this was going down I had to change my contact phone number so I could get a verification text but it said it wouldn’t be updated till next month.
