    Can't connect for online play on Dark Souls

    I just purchased my Gold Subscription for one month online, and when I check my account subscription on my xbox it says I have a gold subscription, but when I start up Dark Souls, it says "Your multiplayer privileges are blocked. Unable to access Network
    Play."

    What's going on... I have the subscription and everything... So why can't I play Dark Souls online?

    My xbox IS connected to the internet right now, and I am logged into xbox live... Does it take time for the subscription to take effect?

    Difference of Xbox Live Gold Membership and Xbox Live

    A gold subscription allows you to play online multiplayer and access Games with Gold and Deals with Gold offers. If you don't pay with gold you have a Free (or Silver) account. You can still sign into Live to purchase content and access apps, but you can't
    play online or access gold discounts.

    Is this the account you are trying to play on?

    Online Xbox multiplayer requires a Gold membership subscription to play. If your account is a free Silver account, you can't play online with it.

    A Gold subscription is required to play online on Xbox. Since Fortnite is an online only game, you need Gold to play it.

    Xbox Live Gold membership cannot use in Xbox

    I'm having the same problem. Applied a prepaid 12-month code yesterday. The subscription is listed in my account, and I seem to be able to play online via the gold membership, but I can't get to the "Games with Gold" feature and there is no functional difference
    in my console's homepage... Microsoft is still trying to sell me gold rather than deliver the Games with Gold.

    I tried the suggested power-cycle, it didn't help.

    The games don't have gold themselves. Any games that list that they have online multiplayer will require the account to have a gold subscription so they can play online with other people.
