Hi, I am new to this so pse be patient. I have an Xbox 360 & I am apparently getting an Xbox One for Xmas.

My son said that I can make a request for the "FreeBee" Xbox One game for December by going on-line,before I receive my new machine. That is when

the trouble started. When I went on-line for my account the GameTag that popped up was not mine and there was no action

on it either. I tried getting in touch with Microsoft Xbox via their "Talk to someone helpline" which involved me typing my

message but because I type very slow they kept interrupting saying "are you still there" and "are we still connected".

They then said to change the "pop-up" GameTag for a new one, but not the one I have already, something similar.

They then said I have to change it on my XBox 360 but my son said do not change anything because I will lose all my

points etc from my original GameTag. Unfortunately the GameTag has now been changed on my account to something similar

to my original which is what is on my Xbox 360. I contacted Microsoft & they said telephone the XBox team on 800-469-9269 but that number

does not exist so I tried 0800-469-9269 but that number does not exist. I need to speak to someone about this can anyone help me please?

Xbox gamertag transfer help

To be a bit more specific how do i make my current gamertag an xbox live gamertag?

Note: I have an account on the xbox one but want to carry over my gamertag from the 360 to the one.

Thanks! I think it was just chrome being annoying with its tabs. I guess every browser has its problems

I can send a screen shot of what i get when i try to load it. This happens when i try to go to my account on the xbox website. :EDIT: Now i cant even enter the xbox website without getting this error

Do you have any add-ons for your browser turned on? A error is identifying the headers on the request was too large, which can be from add-ons and security settings. Definitely try a different browser, and see if turning off some of the add-ons you have
in your primary browser and see if that changes the page load.

Hi Kibblemaker1264,

First restart your PC. Then try using a different browser. The site isn't down so there has to be something else giving you a 404 error. Type in account.xbox.com in the address bar and hit enter. You'll be prompted to sign in, or if you are already signed
in it should take you to the home page of your Xbox account. To change the gamertag select Profile and then Customize. Then click the little pencil icon next to the gamertag to change it. You can also click on the top right icon of your gamer pic and select
Xbox profile from the drop down options.
