My account email is already in use

My xbox has had a profile on it for about two years and ive never had this Issue, my xbox is telling me when i sign in that my email is already in use. But i have another problem i dont have access to my email 5hat i use asthat was a work email and now i
have a different job, is there a way to fix this?

I understand that you're having issues trying to sign into your Xbox (and Xbox profile) with your Microsoft account.

First, I would suggest attempting to sign into your
Microsoft Account on the actual Microsoft website with the email that

is associated with the Gamertag that you would play with. This will determine whether or not the issue is actually with your

logins since it's been a while since you've used it. Maybe your password needs to be reset or some security options need to be updated.

You should not have to cancel. Your account email is good for both systems. I use the same email for Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows 10 without any problems.

Thanks for coming to the forums with your issue. If you already have an account created with an email, you are unable to create a new one. You can sign in with the email you are currently using and the password you used to use the account that was already
created. Otherwise, you will have to use a different email not associated to Microsoft or Xbox and create a new account.
