    My account changed to a child account and now I can't do anything without a 'parent's'...


    Im 16 and I don't need these content restrictions telling me i can't watch Youtube without a parent's permission or play 18s. I dont even have a parent on xbox. I've tried different things with my friends becoming my 'parents' and turning off my content
    restrictions, which worked. But when I removed them from the family the restrictions went back to pegi 16.

    How would I change my content restrictions without a parent? - Even better, change my account to an adult account or whatever it usually is.

    It wasn't always like that and I think it happened maybe 3 years ago but for some reason the restrictions are only now having an effect.

    Dont use the console as a child minding device. The child must not have a Child account as if you have a child account you cant change anything without the parent account signed n also

    Child account

    Once registered as child account you can't change anything until the servers verify the account has reached 18+ of age. Only the parental account (the adult account with which your child account is associated) can make changes in privacy settings

    Once you register an xbox live account as a child account you can't change it. The parental account can change privacy settings of the child account though.
