My account auto renewed gold without my permission

My xbox live account auto renewed gold when i had not set it up to nor did i choose to subscribe to xbox live gold in the first place. Now i have to pay this fee that i dont want nor need because i never got confirmation or an email or anything saying that
i am subscribed to xbox live gold monthly payments when i never wanted to be in the first place and now my account is suspended probably for a long time because i just dont have the money to pay for this subscription. I never wanted to be subscribed and now
i have no way of using my xbox thanks microsoft

Cancelled Automatic Renewal, but...

My account still auto-renewed to Gold this month. I double checked my settings, and auto-renew is off. My gold is set to expire on 12/11, but on 12/8 9.99 was taken from my account via paypal. Am I missing something?

Anytime you purchase gold from Xbox (including signing up for a free month) it does warn you that auto-renewal will be turned on unless you turn it off again.

As mentioned above the auto renewal is set to on when you purchase a membership from the console or website. It will auto renew automatically unless you choose to turn it off. At some point you must have taken advantage of an offer for a gold membership.
The notice about auto renewal would have been posted with the purchase.

However, any further questions about the billing suspension will need to be handled by phone support as only they can deal with billing issues. If you live in North America dial 1-800-469-9269

Well the thing that makes it weird is that i could still play online, but without live gold. There arent any other accounts on my xbox, and it didnt auto-renew the subscription.

No, it won't.... I make all my purchases on xbox with a debit card and use codes for my gold subscription. In my subscription details it says auto-renew isn't on.
