my a button registers me pressing it but does nothing help

when ever I press the a button it registers it being pressed but then does nothing ive tried re starting my xbox, re-connecting my controller, and turning the power off to it all together but yet the a button doesn't work.

xbox one headset

My headset plugs in, but mute is stuck on, I can't turn it off. The orange light remains on, pressing the button does nothing.

Fast and slow reloads

The more I play the more i'm convinced this feature is a bug.

In private matches you have to double-tap the reload button to do a fast reload. It even tells you to do that in the help file.

But in match making a single tap is enough to trigger a fast reload. It's as though pressing the button at a normal speed and pressure registers as two button presses instead of one.

Hi

Can you please try a hard reset on the console by pressing and holding the power button on the front of the console for 5-10 seconds, Once the console has powered off please remove the power cable from the wall outlet for two minutes.

Hopefully doing this will resolve your problem.

Hi does your button stick or not register when pressed. Mine has a faulty A button as well. Dosnt always register when pressed.

I have the same problem and cache reset does nothing. It only happens with the a button and only on home screens. It happens with both of my controllers and i dont believe it is a hardware problem because games and apps work perfecltly. Also when you press
the a button the tile flashes like it registered, but nothing happens

I have noticed that the A, B, X and Y buttons require a more firm press for the button press to be registered, but nothing like that.have you tried changing the tension of your thumbstick?

My "A" button also does this, Its like the sensor is more sensitive? and I found I have to press it slightly harder for it to register.
