My 2008 model Xbox 360 Elite console has RROD with the E 74 error messege._._.

Anyone charges the cheapest price to correctly and properly professionaly repair my console within a two day timeframe somehow???

the RROD isn't necessarily caused by overheating, I still own a old xbox 360 elite model, which has been working without any problems since 2008. No overheating or RROD.

So in my opinion you can not simply state that the 'old' models will get a RROD

 

Headlines get weirder...

So MS is planning to use cheap hardware so the xbox one will crash and burn like the 360 did with it's E-74 errors and RRoD? Thus increasing sells!

 

Getting your Xbox 360 repaired from anyone other than MS would/could result in your console being banned.

 

Your better off cutting your losses a getting a new xbox 360. Even if you manage to get it fixed it could happen again later on.

 

im having the same problem, tonight at around 9:30 Pacific Time, my house had a relatively large power surge. My internet went down for a minute or two, and my xbox shut off. I went to turn it back on thinking it would just need a simple reboot, and now
it has the red ring of death (RROD). If anyone has an answer or suggestions please reply to me. Thank you for your time. My xbox is also a white, xbox 360 thats multiple years old. Thank you.

 

^^ Your only options are: 1) Call MS Support and pay to have them repair it for you, 2) Buy a new Xbox 360, or 3) Throw it in the trash.
