    My 12 months Xbox Live Code isn’t compatible with the region :/


    So my uncle bought me a 12 months Xbox Live Code for Christmas. There was no rush so I waited till mine ran out. Today I tried that code and it said that this code wasn’t compatible with the region cause it was bought somewhere else :/ So I’m just sitting
    here and ask myself what is the damn right region ... I haven’t changed my region since 2 years . I saw something on reddit where someone had a problem like this he got some help from the support over the code which you get when you tipe in the code.

    I just bought 12 months of Gold Live and I am living in Brazil, already changed my account to Brazil, and I'm trying to download the game Sleeping Dogs but it shows the error regions message about something like "The region it is not compatible with this

    I live in Barbados....I spoke to a MS rep who informed me that if I bought a 12 month gold membership it would work if I have my region code set to US in my xbox live profile

    Sorry for the confusion. Lemme give a more detailed story.

    I created my live account in the USA. I am not gold then. So my Billing account is in the USA.

    I now live in Singapore, I got a new XBOX 360 w/c is region locked for asia, namely Singapore.

    I got a 12 month gold card here in Singapore. Would it be alright if I redeem this code to my USA Live account.

    In another short set of words.

    My LIVE account: USA

    My 12 month card: Singapore, Asia

    My XBOX 360: Region Locked for Asia.

    Yes 12 month codes are region free - some 12 +1 cards are region locked.
