My 12 month Xbox Live Gold just cancelled itself.

I used a code card at the beginning of the year for 12 months of Xbox Gold. All day today I had no problems until I tried to start a party earlier. Now my account says the subscription was cancelled, even though I had not touched it at all. Is there a
way to get my Gold back, or do I have to spend money on a new subscription.

Did you have a Game Pass Ultimate subscription when you added the 12 months? Adding gold while you have Ultimate will convert the gold to Ultimate, but at a conversion rate based on price. 12 months of gold would have been added as 4 months of Ultimate.
If that was the case, then you would need to buy a new subscription.

If that's not the case, double check your subscriptions at http://account.microsoft.com and if it does show the gold was cancelled, you'll need to contact support. http://support.xbox.com/contact-us

I have the same issue.. I bought 12 months of xbox live gold 2 months ago.. and I canceled my 1 month free trial of xbox ultimate.. when I did that it cancelled my xbox live gold, I should have 10 months of gold left over.. your saying they just steal
my money and theres no way to just continue on gold I should have unless I buy it all over again?

similar issue recently and just yesterday i got an email saying my Xbox live gold had been cancelled even though its just 2 months into a 12 month sub!

I brought Xbox Live Gold for 12 months in march. I got GP on the 9th. But then I canceled the GP but it also canceled my 12 month Xbox gold, shouldn't I still have until march 2022 until it is canceled? Like it literally turned it off the day I got GP without notifying me, if I had known this would happen I would have just got FH5 from the Microsoft store instead of GP.
