    My 12 month live card


    I just entered my code for 12 months of xbox live and it wants me to agree to forfeting 8 months to some gamepass that i don't want . I paid for a 12 month subscription and i want what I paid for. The card says 12 months for 59.99 not 4 months. How can Microsoft be getting away with this? This has got to be illegal.

    You can purchase 5 years of Live Gold membership on 5 12 month cards and activate each one as each year expires. Or you can activate 3 12 month cards and have a total of 36 months of maximum subscription and then activate the 2 12 month cards.

    If you want the full 12 months, you would need to either cancel your current Ultimate subscription or wait for it to end before adding the card.

    Otherwise, the conversion is based on price rather than time. 12 months of Gold is equal to the same price as 4 months of Ultimate. It's not illegal since they warn you before you complete the transaction so you can choose not to do it.
