    MWII Beta Controller Problem


    When playing the MWII beta on series s, my controller will just stop working. It is on but I will have no control over anything, can't even hit the home button and my in game character runs in random directions. The only way to fix it is to reconnect the controller or turn it off/on. This effectively has made the beta unplayable. The controller is fully updated. Does anyone have any knowledge of this issue or know what might be wrong? I hope this is not an isolated case and I'm just the odd man out. I've asked Activision the same question because who knows where the problem stems and am waiting for a response.

    I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft Xbox user like you.

    Hope you're doing great today despite this Michael

    Right now, you're the only person (who I help recently, of course) who report this in the forums
    We can try some things to isolate a bit more the problem, but if the issue persists definetly the COD beta is the one causing this problem

    Try each of the next
    A. connect the controller via cable and test in that way

    B. Power cycle your console
    1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
    2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.
    Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.
    3. Plug the console power cable back in.
    4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.
    After that Re-pair the controller and test

    C. Try downgrading your controller firmware and test

    I had to buy a type c adapter off of amazon, but even though it only happens on this beta, it was apparent I had some input lag so I'll continue to play wired rather than off the wireless. Thanks! It appears to have fixed the issue being wired.
