MW3 Disk not working properly?

So my brothers MW3 disk is a bit scratched but that's never stopped us from playing? It read unrecognized disk, then I cleaned it and it became Mixed Media Disk I think, so then I shut the xbox off and turned it back on and the MW3 thumbnail was there, I
clicked on it and it appeared to work up until about 5 minutes of running the game the error comes up saying it can't read the disk, I have cleaned it so many times and now I give up. I tried to install and it and no luck :/

Disc error during multiplayer

This I'd happening to me on mw3 it says disk unreadable and then just disk unrecognized it's not the game I already went and replaced it every other game works it's just mw3 I'm guessing it's because of the new disk format If this is true I better get a
FREE upgrade not a 100$ "repair" because I dis not break it

Update failed can't do anything

The MW3 disk may be damaged or unreadable. Try entering another person's MW3 game disk and see if that solves the issue.

try using a DVD Lens cleaner and if it only happens with the MW3 disk and it sees it again Install it on your hard drive.

ive tried the disk read error solutions non work, and one game will not work mw3 which doesnt appear to have any damage. After, i repeat after i use this disk my console begins to malfunction and not work properly. Problems may also occur if i leave a disk
in the tray for a extended period of time.

Here is a suggestion that worked for my friend, before you try to swap the system out through MS, Gamestop, etc.

Turn the system off, turn it upside down and turn it on. insert the disc and let it run for a few. eject the disk, turn the console off, flip it back rightside up, and try again.

I was skeptical but I read this trick online to fix it, and apparently it worked for at least my friend.

Why does everyone at MS keep suggesting to take it back to GameStop? It's not their problem it's yours. And they said that MS told them that all faulty hardware should be handled by MS.

Bottom line is that my problem hasn't been solved. Support told me I need to send you my console....but it won't let me do it online....and the person on the phone couldn't do it. They said they would call me back later today to see if they can. I understand
that there will be issues....but my situation has been handled poorly.
