Mw2 mod removal

So I'm casually playing away on modern warfare 2 as I recently learned its back compat.

Few games in, saw I joined a game which had a modder in it. Now, I was playing public matches, no invites were sent or received. Next game, I go to pick my class and boom. Game freezes.

Thought nothing of it as thr disc itself is old. But from then on, EVERY time I attempt to edit my classes or find a public game it freezes. Now I've a feeling it's the modder that has pretty much made mw2 for everyone in the lobby unplayable.

So a few messages sent to the modder, claims he can remove the mods and game freeze if I pay him 5 pounds which obviously I'm not going to do.

Ive tried uninstalling the game and reinstalling only to be met with the same issue.

Please tell me there's a way to remove this freeze mod off my account, I don't want to have to create a new account JUST to play one game I loved back when I played the life out of it.!!!!

Does the forum mod even read the thread before deciding a removal? Bad 2020 made it seem like the forum mod is sympathetic towards cheaters.

While I don’t play MW2, and I can’t offer any recomendations to resolve the issue, I do hope that you have reported the player in question. Even if the lobby isn’t modded, the player has still attempted to extort money from you.

 

Believe me I made [Mod Removed - Profanity] sure not to fall into that trap. And reported him both via xbox one report system and the xbox 360 report system.
