MW2 loading screen on XBOX

Hi!

So for the last 2 days I have been dealing with the MW2 not loading. It gets stuck on the COD screen. When I first restart the game it will do status pop up where it says stuff like the loading drivers and all the stuff, but once it is finished I hit A to start it never moves from that screen. I’ve literally done everything. Turned the console off and on. Restarted game. Uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Unplugged the Xbox. Made sure my connection was good. Like you name it I’ve done it. I’ve even deleted my saved date from the console and then went back and deleted from everywhere. I’m very frustrated.

I noticed that a lot of users are also experiencing the same issue with the game however, we haven't received an official announcement from Microsoft yet so in the meantime, let's try doing some troubleshooting steps and if it still doesn't, you may need to contact Activision Support for further assistance.

Please follow the steps below and see if it helps.

Step 1

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

Step 2

If it still doesn't work, kindly try to refresh your operating system and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.

Note: Make sure that you know your account logins before doing this step. Also, this will remove all your Home Xbox associations.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info > Reset console.

3. On the Reset your console? screen, you'll select Reset and keep my games & apps.
