MW2 keeps deleting itself

Hi, I have a problem with MW2. I installed it when I bought the game on disc, took 14hrs total. Couple of days later it had disappeared from my storage device and I had to install it again. Played it last night and went to play it 30 mins ago and it’s gone again! I’m currently installing it for the third time. Anyone else having this problem? It’s really annoying as it takes nearly a Day to install it all

I’m on Xbox one , I’ve fully installed it all, multiplayer, then campaign, then spec ops. It takes nearly a full day all told. I’m installing it on an external hard drive. It says MW2 needs an update , when I check my games list it’s gone and I have to re install it again.

Is the game installing full every time, or is it just updating?

It is quite weird for a game to delete itself after trying to update it. There is no specific reason as to why this happened othar than a minor bug.

Let´s try performing a full power cyclr to see if we can get the automatic updates running again

Full Power Cycle

Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button  on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

Once the lights on the front of the console, unplug the power cable from the rear of the console.

Wait at least 30 seconds.

Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button  on the console or the Xbox button  on your controller.
