MW2 downloaded to HD but disc wont read

Sorry to hear you have difficulities playing your game on your Xbox Console. Are you having this "unable to read" issue with other games, or only MW2? What kind of hard drive you own:

• How much storage space does it have?
• Is it an official Microsoft hard drive?

Do you have the older white Xbox 360 console?

To fueldrockets, i also read on here that if you have one or both discs installed before (assuming you have the discs and not the hd pack) the hd pack it wont download. which could be your situation. thanks for the advice arch

The Xbox series X will not read the MW2 disc, I have returned it and tried 3 separate copies of the MW2 disc, the console will play other games/discs and read dvds/blue rays as well. But will not read any MW2 disc I insert into the console. The disc will read on my Xbox one. I installed it there and network transferred all the data to the series X and upgraded all the data that was transferred but the console refuses to read the MW2 disc.

it wont work because if the xbox cant read your disc then there is no chance it can read the disc while download but yeh best way is to borrow a friend's and install it

I have the game Download to my HD thankfully but I'm wondering is it even able to read the disc to have it start? Wouldn't want it to chip more of it off.
