    I'm not sure if I am the only person having this issue but I recently had to mute someone because they were being rude. Turns out that they can still hear me even though I can't hear them. So what's the deal?

    I did not say you would be punished. Muting and reporting is a different thing. Sigh... Again. Do you mute people if they are using comms properly? If you were to report good players constantly for no good reason yes you would then be punished but if you
    are muting people it may start to punish them if other people are muting them. The problem with you guys is you think you are the only people in the world. Start looking bigger picture with scenarios like this just because you mute someone doesn't mean other
    people have muted or reported that person. It's about data over a long period of time. If you don't act like a Git chances are your rep will remain good. If you report someone for bad behaviour, don't expect them instantly to be punished it will depend on
    other reports and who those reports come from and there reputation aswell.

    My Xbox keeps muting people then not letting me unmute them, I also can't even mute people either.

    im havinng a problem with the self mute for gears of war 3 ive been muted for some weeks now and cannot un mute myself. this happened when i muted everyone i the game i wasnt aware that it would mute me as well. so now im am muted for all the other games

    I know which part you're talking which is the privacy setting. You can config the voice chat and message chat. I tried that before.

    Many people asked the same question for this glitch but as I mentioned, I can chat with others. So it's not the problem of my headset or my controller (someone said I can check my controller as well).

    Hey guys! We are currently aware of an issue where you can "mute" yourself, but this only shows the icon. Functionality should not be affected. We are working to correct this issue now.
