    Does anyone know of a fix for an xbox one which won't come off mute despite buying new headsets & trying different controllers? We've reset the console & revised all relevant settings to no avail. I see this appears to be a common problem when I Googled
    it, my son is very unhappy after getting new accessories from santa & STILL not being able to join in on parties! This issue hadn't occurred up until about 5 weeks ago.

    Over 600 people replied to this post an still no fix. Unfortunately the pathetic fix for this is annoyingly simple for me all it takes it a full reset of my console but why all this time and still no fix,? Maybe making people spend more on adapters controllers an headsets? Disgraceful behaviour from a multi billion company. Nothing on Microsoft is a accident, it must simply be in their favour and im tired of seeing the pattern, i have played xbox since i was a kid but now ill be taking myself away from all consoles

    Why is Xbox One muting everyone?

    If your on ghost, get into a game press start then go to the 'mute players' option, in mute all, then for good measure go to 'mute groups' then select turn mute off.

    im havinng a problem with the self mute for gears of war 3 ive been muted for some weeks now and cannot un mute myself. this happened when i muted everyone i the game i wasnt aware that it would mute me as well. so now im am muted for all the other games

    Yeah the only thing you can really do is block, report and mute the users bothering your son. If your son can't stop playing with the friend they somehow always get through, then set up a private party where only your sons friends can join.

    Muting the players will be the best thing as they cannot talk to your son after this, even if they join the game, they'll be muted, but make sure to mute them by their profiles and not in the game, as muting them in game will only mute them in that specific
    game, but muting by the profile, you will mute them in party's and any game.
