    Mute SPDIF Audio

    Hi @all,

i've purchased a xbox one a few days ago.

The xbox is connected to a TV for video and to a logitech soundsystem for the sound.

So that works fine. But when I tell my xbox to mute the sound, it mutes the tv sound (a sign on tv appears) but not the soundsystem, where the sound comes from.

How can I configure the xbox to mute my soundsystem and NOT the tv?

    BR,

    Gernii

    :)

  3. Volume control

When the Xbox One S is not configured to directly control a TV or hifi system using IR, the volume control or mute don't work. Couldn't the Xbox instead adjust (or cut) the audio signal level on the HDMI and SPDIF output? Digital
manipulation of the audio data stream would alter dynamic range, but would still be useful. At least a digital mute should be provided in this way. Is this already supported, or can the feature request be considered?

You need to set up your surround sound system in the xbox one settings. Go to TV & One Guide in the Settings menu, then to Devices. You should see Receiver in there, you'll need to configure your surround system for it to control the volume of that rather
    than your TV.

Xbox One on DVI PC Monitor with analog audio?

Excuse the double post but just realised you could also try get the audio out directly from the spdif connection if you have a sound system with spdif input. This would be your cheapest option

Some Turtle beach headsets will work link

Plugged my Xp500, into the spdif on the back of the xbox one, works perfectly, again audio only
