    Mute Banned for No Reason!


    My friend and I were in an online game, we got harassed but I couldn't do anything until they messaged us, and when they did I reported the messages for harassment and Cursing, then not 10 minutes "I" get XBOX muted, and I would like to know why!

    Someone has threatened to ban my account!!! HELP!!!

    You cannot be banned just becasue someone reports you. MS don't ban for no reason (though if you look in the "banned" forum, people clearly seem to believe they do!)

    If you, or anyone else you know is threatened with a ban, mute and/or block that user and move on.

    It doesn't matter if you had nothing there when the suspension was issued, it all depends what was there when someone filed a complaint about your Gamertag. So you're going to Sony because you couldn't be bothered to the read the Code of Conduct when you
    joined. Ignorance is bliss I guess.

    Either read the email sent to the address linked to you account or check on the enforcement site
    here

    It's very rare to be suspended for an offence instantly so chances are it was for something you did weeks ago.

    ^ Gotta admit I do if they talk a lot. Nothing personal, it's just distracting. Kind of a reason why the ban isn't right. People all mute for different reasons, not all of the people that get mute banned got muted because they were purposely annoying or
    anything, sometimes it's so simple as they speak a different language than others that they've been matched with. Just because I don't want to hear another language doesn't mean I think they should be silenced by default.

    You mute them/they mute you? That's your problem. Enough of that and the system will ban you.

    Check your privacy settings and make sure that voice chat is allowed. Or go I preferences and make sure that voice chat volume is not turned off.
