    Must have games?


    I'm finally getting a Xbox when the Scorpio comes out. Any must have games for the Xbox one? Any must have games that will benefit from the Scorpio?

    I mostly play rpgs and shooters but I'm open to almost all games even though I totally suck at sports games.

    Side question any recommendations on tvs. I'll be upgrading to a 4K around then. Any brands have major compatibility issues with the Xbox one so far?

    What must haves must I have?

    So, I've been totally offline for over 6 months and missed a fair bit. Apart from the fact most games I didn't buy because they didn't seem worthwhile without the multiplayer aspect, more recent games required the Xbox to be updated in order to install the disc, so I pretty much couldn't buy anything. I went on a bit of a spree and bought Destiny, Titanfall (again, traded it when the net died), Halo Masterchief collection and Walking Dead Season One a few days ago in anticipation for the return of the net. Over the last 6 months, only games I bought were Watchdogs (meh) and Diablo 3 (which got me through this patch). I'm also getting Dragon Age & AC Unity for Christmas.

    So, apart from what's up there (and any launch window games, bought everything I wanted back then), what do I need to have? How are Forza Horizon & Sunset overdrive? And any arcade games really worth grabbing?

    I personally would suggest The Witcher 3: Wild hunt , One of the best RPG's I have played ever. And it is visually stunning.

    Save your money for Battlefield 3, Batman: Arkham City, Rage, Skyrim, ME 3 and Gears 3.

    And otherwise you can go for Batman: Arkham Asylum, Saints Row 1 and 2, GTA IV or LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean.

    Not being a huge fan of this generation, I can count the games I consider must own on one hand (plus two fingers)... And most people on these forums would probably disagree with me.



    Test Drive Unlimited (original only)



    Dragon Age Origins (stay away from DA2)



    Portal 2



    L.A. Noire



    Mirror's Edge



    Forza Motorsport 3



    Mass Effect 1 (a disappointment, but better than most 360 games)



    That said, the best game to ever grace an Xbox console was Knights of the Old Republic. Of all Xbox games released this and last generation, that is the one I recommend as the absolute pinnacle of must-own titles.

    I can get 2-3 good games that are somewhat old versus 1 newer game, and then by the time I'm done with those 2-3 games, the 1 new game has gone down in price some
