    Static While Streaming Music

    Whenever I try to steam music from my computer to my Xbox, all I hear is static. I have tried resetting both the Xbox and my computer. This issue has been present since the console update. Before that I never had any trouble whatsoever.

    Anyone with a One able to answer this question?

    Is it possible to play music off your hard drive while playing a game? Also, is it possible to have Xbox Music streaming in the background while playing a game?

    not directly off the console. You have to use a streaming device for this from my understanding

    Unless you have the music files downloaded locally, you cannot stream music while you game unfortunatly.

    I would go with Windows Media Player 12 setup to stream content. It can stream music while in game from anything that is in its library.

    its say you will never get ads when you play your own music... so what is Microsoft going to do about this BUG?



    I have been playing music from my own pc, I should not be getting ANY ads. Why would I pay 99/year to not get ads while playing my own music library?

    You can also use the Xbox Music app if you have an active Xbox Music subscription. And then there is always the option to use the System Music Player to stream locally stored files on your console. Have you tried both of those options? Are you looking to
    stream while playing games or just use the console for music by itself? Let us know. Thanks!
