Music Streaming, Windows 10 to XBOX 360

As posted here: Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened.

I'm also having an issue streaming music content to the XBOX 360.

Any other device is fine via DLNA or SMB shares.

I renamed my device and rejoined my HomeGroup and the change in name is reflected in the PC that the XBOX sees. However, when I select Music, Albums, Artists never fully populate. They either error out with "none found" or just spin. When you hit B to go
back or Cancel there's a brief glimpse of an error that I think is the generic one that say the "XBOX cant connect to the server at this time ..."

I can however see my two saved Playlists (4 stars and 5 stars). When picking either of them, they show "no songs".

When I pick "Songs", it spins for a bit and then I get a list of my songs and can play them one at a time.

When I pick "Genres" I get a list of genres and then I pick one and can see the songs and either play individually or "Play All".

So to re-cap, Albums and Artists list never populate. I wasnt getting anything till I renamed my Library and rejoined the home group (and let WMP rebuild the library again). I thought this was the typical issue with all the other Windows OS's and the 360
with big music libraries taking forever to list out, but it's not.

Can we get an acknowledgement of this issue and hopefully a fix?

XBOX 360 and Game Streaming

Are you trying to stream a game from Xbox 360 to Windows 10? That's not supported - the media center of old was for streaming videos and songs.

There is a way to stream Xbox 360 games to Windows 10, but it involved using an Xbox One and playing the backwards compatible Xbox 360 on the Xbox 360, then streaming the Xbox One to Windows 10.

 

Xbox Music to Launch October 26th

Microsoft has been looking to overhaul its Zune music service for a while now, and The Verge is reporting that Xbox Music will launch on
October 26th, along with Windows 8. The service will begin accepting new registrations right away, and Zune customers will automatically be rolled over to Xbox Music.





While the move is sort of a strategic re-branding - substituting the successful Xbox brand for the weaker Zune brand - Xbox Music will introduce new features, most notably a free (ad-supported) streaming option like Spotify's. Monthly subscriptions
will cost $10; a year up front is $100.



The service will integrate with Microsoft's SkyDrive for syncing music and playlists across multiple devices through the cloud. While there are reportedly plans for cross-platform support of iOS and Android devices, Xbox Music will be available on
the Xbox 360, Windows 8 and Windows Phone at launch.

I have exactly the same problem. Had ZERO problems with Win 7, but now that I "Upgraded" to Win 10, nothing but issues.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Similar here. I cant get either of my 360s to connect to my Windows 10 PC to stream music/movies, but both my Xbox Ones and other PCs connect just fine. Is the 360 streaming not supported any more?

 

What the ***?! Why is this not resolved yet? Microsoft, you're seriously dropping the ball by not taking care of your loyal customers. I have a One but I still want to use my 360 as I always have. Upgraded my computer to a WIndows 10 system, which totally
rocks for me, but in exchange I lose streaming to my 360?! That is ALL KINDS of effed up. FIX IT.
