Hey I'm only somewhat familiar on using the xbox one and it's upload studio so I'm a noob. Trying to figure out if there is a better way to record music over your game clips instead of using the kinect. It doesn't always have the best quality of hearing
and you get that in an auditorium sound going. If anyone has suggestions or ideas. I could not find any in the history of the forums but I'm sure this question has been asked already.

    :)

Adding music to an upload studios montage

You need to do is download the clip, then mute the sound (easy way to do it) or isolate the sounds you want to have in the clip, gunshots etc from the background music which again you'd mute or at least turn down (much harder and time consuming than 1st way) through a video editing program, or just use the sound part of the clip and do what you need to do there in a music editing program, like Audacity. Then you'd redub said sound file with the original clip muted, being careful to get the timing just right.

As for the copyright shit, simple way around this. Don't use mass produced music run by greedy labels. If you get underground music, from not so greedy artists and use those songs (remember to credit them) they'd have no problem letting you use their music, it's good for their exposure. No matter what style of music you're into, there will be artists out there making awesome music (probably better than on the radio) that for some reason or another haven't made it.

    Music over game clips

only way right now and possibly will be the only way... copyright laws might have an issue with illegally "recording" music without permission
