Music Library Displaying Multiple Duplicate Songs.

I have a Nokia 1520 that has everything being saved to a SD Card. When I look at my Xbox Music Library there are multiple song titles anywhere from 2-10 copies of the same exact song. So I ejected my card to see if there were duplicate files and there
is not. So there is a display issue where the song is listed several times but the only exists in one place. This is frustrating to no end trying to scroll to find songs. There seems to be no reason to which songs get duplicated or time period. I went
ahead and wiped my SD Card and downloaded 1 album and within 1 hour the album had several copies of songs but only 1 physical file on the SD card.

    :)

Why is the Xbox Music app re-downloading all my music?

having the same problem that's been well described above - re-downloading of my entire library of music and duplicates of albums/songs showing up in Xbox Music. pretty frustrating... has anyone found out why this is happening and/or how to stop it? also,
does anyone know how to figure out which song shown in xbox music is the original .mp3 and which is the new .wma? the properties button seems to provide song info (date released, album, etc.) and not file information...

Audio CD player app is "Unavailable"

Ok. The cd audio player is playing music, but is now not displaying artist, album, artwork or song title. Anyone else now having this problem?

I'm glad I'm not crazy! I'm having the same problem! I bought an SD card because 16GB is not enough space for music, apps, and photos on my 1520, and I can't afford to stream my music all the time. I am seeing multiple duplicates for songs I've downloaded
to my SD card. Some of them even have different metadata and post themselves to different albums! I tried to fix this by deleting everything I downloaded and wiping the SD card, but that made everything worse! Now, I'm missing music and, on top of that, some
of my albums have split themselves up into multiple albums (I'm talking one album per song on a single album!) I really don't want to have to perform a hard reset, but the Xbox Music app is so buggy and stores everything in its own isolated storage on the
phone with no option to save it to the SD card, so it looks like this may be my only option to fix the damage caused.

This is a file system issue with the Windows Phone. I have no idea why this happens, but when it does it can be a pain to fix! I'm sorry if this isn't the greatest solution for you, but I'll walk you through the steps that worked for me.

BEFORE CONTINUING: This process involves data loss. Make SURE you have everything backed up that you need to.

HOW TO BACKUP: First and foremost, your contacts are all automatically synced to the primary account on your phone. You can view them at
Outlook.com - Microsoft free personal email. If you have a Windows Phone 8, see here:

    www.windowsphone.com/.../back-up-my-stuff
. If you have a Windows Phone 7, see here:
    go.microsoft.com/fwlink

THE SOLUTION: You need to format your SD card AND reset your phone. To format the SD card, go to Settings > Storage and you should have the option to do so there. To reset your phone, go to Settings > About > Reset your phone. If you use a Nokia phone, I
highly advise that you leave it unplugged from your PC while resetting.

Google should use this against Microsoft in an ad

I've got a another solution! for error 0xc00d11cd (0x80004005) when you try to play a song.

The problem is not on xbox music app, the problem is where does xbox music takes the information:

THE MUSIC LIBRARY, I think is a bug related to cloud sync, so I deleted all the local music located on the cloud.

(Recomendation: Move all your music to another folder)

1.Simply go to the file navigator

2.Right click on the left pannel (where the file system tree is displayed)

3.Select show library (just in case that is not displayed)

4.Delete the old Music library (it is just a library, it will not delete your music)

    5. Right click on libraries

    6. Select to Restore the default libraries

    7. Open the Music library

    8. Add the folder where you locate your music (move it first to a inner folder as a suggestion)

    9. Open xbox music

It should add all your music again.

The error appears because the xbox music can't find the path where your music is. In my case the library was corrupted and it couldn't access it.

I hope it helps you as it did it with me.

Microsoft, this is the source of the problem, please check if your could syncing is damaging the library file system

Xbox Music creating duplicate music folders in music library on Windows 8

The music that is being duplicated is music that I actually ripped from CD's I own into my music library way before I even began using the Music Pass. It's not duplicating all of the music but randomly selecting from what I can tell. I don't see any type
of pattern. And also the duplicate files being downloaded are a mixture of MP3 and WMA files. All of the CD's I rip are in MP3 format.
