muscle car that looks like an old 80's trans am or camaro???

what is it and how do you get it? I can find in the garage that locks and only opens during heist mission to steal 2 cars out of that garage and bring them to simeon but cant find it any other place and If you take it out of that place while the mission
is going on it just disappears when the mission is over...sorry for the crappy title reference but I don't know the name of it..

Im pretty sure you can find it down on the dock where you bring simeons vehicles, somewhere in the parking lot. Not sure on the time of day it spawns though.

 

From your vague description it could be 1 of 2 cars, First off the "80's" camaro part of your title, Chevy made 2 separate body styles for the 2nd gen. The 2nd Gen. ran from 70-81 hosting one style from 70-73 and the next style from 74-81.
The 3rd Gen was also in the 80's and ran from 82-92, with the popular Iroc -Z model being offered from 85- early90. And as for the Trans AM in the 80's it kept the same style only for a year the body style you see in this game resembles the 77-81 style fire

So to answer your question if i may the car your looking for is either the (game names not real) Imponte Ruiner (modeled after the 85 era iroc) or the Phoenix (which depending on who you are resembles either the 77-81 smokey and the bandit
trans am, or a early 80's possibly an 80 or 81 camaro) . What most people don't realize is the only cosmetic difference between the 2nd gen camaro and firebirds lets take the 80 model for example is the front and back clips and the headlights/taillights.
The cars from a side view look almost identical.

And to further answer your question, depending on which mode you play SP,MP locations may vary. But for me on SP i found the Ruiner alot in the NW part of LS along the beach and by the pier and on MP the Ruiner can be found most anywhere
its very common, And if its the Phoenix your looking for then on SP i found mine by Trevors house out in Paleto Bay and on MP i STILL haven't found one so if anyone knows where they spawn in MP tell me

 

Doesn't take long to find either the 2nd or 3rd gen version, the game cycles the cars with time. But both kinda suck, even with all mods they don't handle the road well. but do have one of each.

 

If you have a Sabre. That spawns out old cars. Drove the Sabre out of my $400K property last week and tons of Phoenix cruising the block.

 

@ Gambit - Can't remember if it is purchasable, just check the car sales area and have a look. Like Makaveli mentioned, I managed to see them down the docks in the car park under the crane after delivering cars for Simeon. Also a hot spot for muscle cars
is around the industrial area of East LS.
