Murdered Soul Suspect

I still never take notice of reviews unless I read the game was unplayable due to bugs etc.

No-one better than yourself to judge whether you like a game or not, just like a review, it's one persons opinion.

Well my copy was dispatched today so with a bit of luck tomorrow I'll get to try it for myself.

 

nope not my kind of game plus was given bad reviews not that i normally go by them

 

Installing now, even if it's not that great, I'm at least OK with supporting a game/dev that is trying to do something different.

 

Not sure if this was posted before but here's the Murdered Soul Suspect "prank". Some of the guys screaming, hmm, yeah lol.

Especially the girl who throws the hat at the zombie.

 

My copy arrived today so shall be giving it a good go later today.

I'm with Zero Divided,

I'm not bothered about the "average" scores it's been getting, a review is one persons opinion but I'm all for games that are a little different from the normal, we need more I say.

 

Really been having fun with this one.

It's very different so it's good to know what to expect...and what not to expect.

You might start flying out the window guns blazing but don't expect to be running and gunning in this game.

It's slow and steady, meant for those who love to collect and those who love to explore.

The story moves at a slow pace and is methodical and if you're not a patient gamer then you might find it frustrating.

If you don't mind taking your time though it can be rewarding and entertaining. The ghost elements are very well done. Possessing cats is awesome fun and the demons will make you jump if you're not careful around them.

I'd say the game is good and the uniqueness of the gameplay heightens that.

I'm not sure if there's replay value after you complete it. There seems to be a suggestion that there is but I won't know until I've finished the game.

So far it's keeping me entertained.

 

picked it up tuesday and so far i love it!

 

i'm enjoying it, it's not that great, but i don't regret my purchase. i just feel like the game is incomplete, seeing AI walk in patterns, every mind you read has 2 thoughts, some investigations or influences are stupid easy, while others are i am completely
lost as to why one clue worked over the other. i like collecting the set items that tell a story, but i don't like all of the other collectibles, it's just too many for my tastes.

all in all, i like the game, but feels a little incomplete, and seems like a lot of missed opportunities, but i hope we do see a sequel.

 

From what I have seen (I don't have the game yet) is like you are watching a story unfold.

It is nice to see someone try something different than another first person shooter.

As for the reviews. They said Ryse was average (some below average too), but I think that is an awesome game both single and multiplayer.

 

That video makes the game seem scary.

Ryse was and still is one of my favorite launch games .. it's still one of the best looking on any platform. with that said, i'm looking to pick up Murdered when i get back from E3.

 

i don't think it's that scary, it does deal with some dark subjects with it being a serial killer and there are a lot of other ghosts you can talk to and some of that is pretty dark also, so i wouldn't want any children around me when i was playing. it is
very story driven, and so far i am enjoying it.

 

I have read all the reviews and based on them I think I will wait till it drops in price like maybe down to $30. It does not sound like it is worth the $60 price to me.

 

Yeah remember though these are the same guys who gave "Grand Theft Auto V" a 10/10 when it's actually a very pretty looking dull, soulless sin-simulator doing much of the same stuff we've done a hundred times before anyways.

Reviewers seem to be basing their reviews less on the current game and more on the franchise that came before it or the popularity (or add revenue weight) of the Publisher.

Read between the lines of a review and go with Player Feedback.

Don't get this game if you don't enjoy a patient play through, don't enjoy thoroughly exploring your surroundings, don't enjoy collecting stuff and don'e enjoy playing stuff that is interesting and new.

If they had the budget of Rockstar or Epic I'm sure the game would be more polished.

As it stands if you enjoy the game play elements above you'll be able to forgive the game for not being a Triple AAA title because it is interesting and fun to play.

Especially possessing cats.

That being said if you can hold off until it's $30.00 you'll get yourself a bargain.
