Multiple Xbox's in household - game sharing issue

    Hi

I currently have 3 XBOX's in my home, used by myself and my three sons. We all have our own Gamertag's and three of us have our own XBOX Gold. I have set this up as a family; in other words, my son's accounts are linked to mine.

The issue I have is when we go to play Fortnite together When my 10 year old tries to start Fortnite, it says he does not own this game. I have to be logged in that XBOX also for the game to work. A workaround is for both of us to be logged in and then
he is able to start the game. I then log into another XBOX, which log's me out of the other one, and then start Fortnite. The problem does surface again though during playing the game. It will kick my son out, asking if owns this game.

I have tried downloading the game with just him logged in but it is saying it is already downloaded.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks

    :)

    Game sharing with my friend

Game sharing is intended for families with multiple consoles in the same household.

    Game Sharing with microsoft account

there is but i won't say if you are sharing outside of your household, sharing is simple on pc including gamepass pc but it is better to be in the same household even if it is multiple pc's.

Game sharing feature - Well lack of !!

What kind of limit is one console per household? That’s not game sharing is it if I need to buy multiple copies of games or multiple game passes for my 2 sons. What a joke

Can I transfer a game license to a friend?

    • No, Xbox does not allow you to game share with people outside your household. Game sharing is a feature that allows family members or friends living in the same household to share games and Xbox Live Gold memberships on one console. Sharing your games or memberships with people outside your household violates the terms of use and could result in account suspension or other penalties.

Can 3 people play the same game when game sharing?

You can only share games in the same household on one console. If you share games to another household, then you are basically breaking Xbox rules, and can be suspended or banned for doing it.
