Multiple XBOXes in the same house, Netgear R7000 router - unable to join parties / play ...

Hi - hoping somebody can help me with this. I have an Xbox 360 and Xbox One in my house, both connected to a Netgear R7000 router over wifi. Using UPnP, I have open NAT connections to both of them, and we can play multiplayer games on both simultaneously.
    That's the good news.

The bad news is, we can't play multiplayer with each other. So for example, we want to play Destiny together. We can't form a fireteam in Destiny, and we can't form a party from the Xbox dashboard. In both cases, the Xbox we're using says that it's sending
an invitation, but the person on the other Xbox never receives it. We can send & receive chat messages... just can't form parties to play multiplayer games together.

Has anyone experienced this? Or even better, resolved it? A few FAQs below:

What Country/State/Province do you live in? USA

Router brand & model number: Netgear R7000

How many Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles are connected to this router?: One of each.

Wired or Wireless (for each console): Wireless

Things you have tried: Disabling UPnP, using port triggering, using a DMZ, using address reservation, open NAT filtering, disabling SIP ALG.

    Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/No/Unknown: Yep.

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?: None.

Any Error Codes you encounter: None.

Who is your ISP? (Internet Service Provider):

    Thanks!

    :)

    Xbox One Live issues (WiFi)

I took the xbox to a friend's house and experienced no issues. When i came i tried multiple different config changes to me Netgear R7000 router including restoring defaults and rolling back to previous versions. I borrowed a spare Netgear N900 from a friend
and set it up. Xbox Live worked both wired and wirelessly. Is there any known issues with the R7000 Nighthawk router and the X1?

I posted a thread on Netgear forums but haven't gotten any responses yet.

I would try them both wired to see if it may just be a wireless problem or not...

    Nat strict

Some routers can have issues with multiple x1's. I had this issue and nothing fixed it. I bought a netgear r7000 and now have no issues. I have 2 x1's and 2 360's in the house that are sometimes all on.
