Multiple XBox Ones in a household- signing in

My husband and I both have an XBox one in our house. One is in the livingroom (my husband's) and one in the bedroom (mine). Can we put both profiles on both consoles or will it download all the cloud data when we do that?

We have both of them hooked up to our cable and we use and play on both of them daily, but if we play together on one console, it would be nice to have both profiles loaded. We just didn't know if it would download all the game data, etc. when we do that.

so what if you have a family of kids and multiple xbox ones in the home, sorry but i don't justify buying multiple copies of the same game for one household of my kids.

It has to be a minimum of 256GB, but you can have up to 16TB (though there are no commercial drives at 16TB). Anecdotally, the typical size people go for would be 1, 2 or 4TB, though that's for players who keep games installed there and run the games from
the external drive. As you're just doing transfers, and you mentioned you have about 50GB of content, I would suggest that a 500GB drive would be sufficient - they're available in large quantities and should be relatively inexpensive.

You can put both profiles on both consoles. That way your stuff will show up no matter which console you play on. It won't download any games automatically but your home screen, pins and other changes you've made to your own Xbox One will show up when you
sign in. If you download a game on the other console you will be able to pick up were you left off in the bedroom because your saves are in the cloud too.
