Multiple Xbox Ones and profiles for children

Hi I was wondering if someone could clarify for me something which I am having trouble understanding since its quite complicated and revolves around the licencing of games Ive bought through the Xbox Store.

I recently upgraded my Xbox to the new X version which Im very much enjoying so far but as this has liberated my old Xbox One I want to give it to my youngest son. My elder son already has an Xbox One so that makes 3 in my household. My eldest sons Xbox
is marked as my Home Xbox so that he can share my games without needing to sign in my profile and I can also purchase games for him through my account and they are usuable for the both of us. This means that on my Xbox One X I need to be signed in to play
my own games which is fine, but now my 3rd Xbox will be given to my other son and he will want to play all the lego games of his which I have bought for him under my account.

How can I go about getting my games playable on the respective consoles of my children without needing to be signed in with my personal account? Is there some sort of way to share my accounts games with both children on 2 different consoles?

Multiple Xbox Ones?

The XBox One console, how it handles xbox live profiles and how those profiles and moved to other xbox one consoles is very different than the xbox 360.

It may help to spend some time
here, and then go into
support articles specific to any questions you may have after reading.

In short, you cannot put a profile on a jump drive, etc. (it requires them to be downloaded to each console using the internet only)

You also need to think about digital vs. disc purchases based on what meets your needs. (I don't want to input my preferences onto your family)

Multiple Xbox Ones

You can use Xbox lives home settings to share your accounts and gold privledges between family members. A Google or YouTube search can show you how to set this up. It allows any accounts associated with the main account access to the gold service of live
as well as access to games purchased. Its a pretty good system for 2 consoles or less.

 

You can gameshare only among two consoles. The third account with the third console will need to get the game again

 

Afraid not.You can only set one console as your home console at a time therefore only gameshare between 2 consoles.
