Multiple Xbox One Headsets Not Working - Ongoing Issue

I have been having an issue with all of my Xbox One headsets (Turtle Beach XO FOUR, MS Xbox Chat Headset) not transmitting. I can hear fine out of them, but am not able to transmit in either party chat or game chat. The only way that I am able to transmit
is via Kinect. I have been having this issue for several months.

• I have tried multiple headsets, multiple controllers, and multiple headset adapters. I am sure that this is not a hardware issue. The headset works fine when I use it on a PC or cell phone.
  
• I have updated both of my controllers.
• I have assigned both of my controllers to my account.
• I have removed and recovered my Xbox account.
• I have restored my Xbox One to factory settings.
• My Xbox is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector.
• My NAT Type is set to open, and I have forwarded all the ports used by Xbox One.
  
• I have contacted Turtle Beach support, who have stated that the issue is not with their headset.
  
• I have contacted Xbox One support who stated that I have already gone through all of the applicable troubleshooting steps, and asked me to call back after trying a new headset adapter.
  

At this point, I don't know what else I can try. The only sure fix that I have been provided with thus far is to buy a new Xbox One, which is very disappointing.

Some users have been experiencing this issue for nearly a year. This is unacceptable.

*I know there are several other threads similar to this one, but they seem to still be unresolved. I wanted to see if anyone else has had any luck with finding a fix to this issue.

Mic not working with Xbox One Stereo Headset

Take it this is still an ongoing issue - since the update my basic headset mic is not working or working only sporadically with crackling and distortion. Are there any fixes?

Just entertain, for the moment, there is a firmware issue. I am seeing more and more people complaining that chat, thru their headset, is not working. I can make it work thru the Kinect, but not the headset. I have tried the headset on other devices that
utilize 3.5 jacks, they work. But ONLY Xbox do they not work. I have tried multiple headsets with the same results. I am using an adapter. My son has a controller that does not need an adapter, he also sees the same issue.

Too many coincidences to believe everyone's headset/adapters all stopped working at the same time.

And yes, I have done the troubleshooting. Inclusive of an Xbox One restart. Updates are all done.

Any assistance appreciated.

Again, my headsets work on other devices.

 

I've been having the same issue for months as well and like you went through all the steps you did as well and I'm out of ideas.

hi had the same problem 2 headsets none worked but Kinect worked fine anyway I got both headsets working now went into settings > system > storage > clear local xbox 360 storage data not sure if will work for everyone but that's how I fixed mine

 

Serious. Is this going to be fixed? Does Microsoft just not give a ***? I just bought two headsets in the past month and two controllers and it was all for nothing. This is ***. No point in play half my games anymore because I can't communicate.
Can Microsoft do anything *** thing? I mean. I can't even get them on the phone ever. They don't respond to my technical tickets this is total ***...

 

only use the headset that came with my xbox one and it stops working randomly most times works fine. only way to fix it is to do a hard reset which is becoming very annoying to do everytime i want to use my headset during gameplay
