    Hi,

I bought an Xbox 360 E a few months back which we didn;t really have much of a problem connecting to xbox live (there were a few issues with our router setting but we sorted them out fairly quickly).

I have since bought a second xbox 360 E which we have had nothing but trouble with, it just won't stay connected to xbox live (we even bought a new router - one that was confirmed as compatible with multiple consoles) The longest we have managed to stay
    connected was about 35 minutes.

So, here is the technical bit (hopefully I have remembered everything, I'm sure you'll let me know if there is anything else, lol)

Modem: Virgin Media E08C007 (Virgin have said this is compatible)

Router: Netgear WNDR4500 (firmware is up to date) (bought because Xbox.com says this is confirmed as compatible with multiple Xboxes)

    UPnP is enabled

No NAT error (NAT is Open)

    No error code

    DHCP connection

    ISP: Virgin Media

    W: 0000 – 000B

    X: 0000 – F001

    Y: 20A8 – 4840

    Z: 0000 – 0000

    ID: FFFF – FFFF

    L: 0015 – 10F0

    Q: 8007 – 0435

    T: WIRED

    A 192.168.1.32/255.255.255.0

    G: 192.168.1.10

    D: 194.168.4.100/194.168.8.100

    Both are xbox 360 E

Both Xboxes are wired through switches to the router

Both DNS settings are obtained automatically

We have tried (not necessarily in this order)…

    port forwarding / port triggering

    UPnP on and off

rebooting the modem and the router

deleting the profile and downloading it again

sending it to a repair shop who did a factory restore and also said they could find nothing wrong with it

    MTU 1364 and 1500 (left at 1500)

    Factory reset of the router

Hopefully someone out there will be able to tell me what I have been doing wrong as my kids are bending my ear about it everyday!

    Thanks

    :)

On Virgin, have a Super Hub 2? & having trouble joining lobbies in Forza/Fifa etc….Read on!!!

Probably your NAT type, which is not proving consistent across various routers or firmware with the Xbox One.

There are some existing threads about this and the Xbox site has got a networking topic in the support section.

NAT is giving me grief with the X1 on my setup, yet the same kit allows me to connect multiple 360s to Live all with an Open NAT at the same time. The X1 uses seven ports and four of them are the same as the 360. Makes sense, as it's still Live.

Anyone else unable to sign into xbox live when playing the 360 games?

When pressing both the Menu and View buttons to bring up the mini guide it just says connect to xbox live.
