    Multiple users: can't connect to each other's Minecraft worlds


    Been happening for at least 5 hours (it's 6pm PST here now). Multiple people, in multiple US regions on various ISPs, all on XBOX One. Just times out and says "Can't connect to server. Couldn't join game." Have had several folks try with several other
    folks, new games, old games, no DLC, with DLC, doesn't seem to matter. Can keep rebooting XBox's but there ios clearly some sort of server connection problem for the Minecraft online games.

    Is there a known issue? I dont see anything on the status live page.

    it EVER really DONE in Minecraft?

    Is it possible that one of you or your friends has joined the Minecraft Beta Insider program?

    If so, you probably have different versions of the game, and only players with the same Minecraft version can join each other's worlds.

    Check that you all have either the official Minecraft version of 1.11.4. If one (or more) have the current Beta version of 1.13.something, then you can't join each other's worlds.

    It could be based on a variety of factors. The most notable being your internet connection, each user's privacy settings, and the settings of the Minecraft world.

    For your internet, doing a quick restart of your router/modem could help if it is a connection issue.

    For privacy settings, make sure that there aren't any restrictions preventing the both of you from playing.

    For the Minecraft world, make sure that there aren't any settings that prevent other players from joining and that the play settings are adjusted accordingly based on how you and your friend would like to play.

    Hi there,

    it might be different for some games, but in general when a user uses multiple consoles. The game will synchronize any save games for that account when a game is started, assuming the consoles are connected to the internet (Xbox Network) when used.

    In some situations you may get a pop up that the other console is still synchronizing, in such situation the other console may need to be powered on to finish synchronizing.

    For a game like minecraft you may need to start the game and have the game search for 'old' worlds via the option 'Sync Old Worlds'
