"Multiple networks with the same name have been found" after name change.

I have an old Xbox 360 that was connected to my apartments wifi connection. We recently changed the wifi name to something else, and now when I try to connect to it through the 360, a message comes up saying their are "Multiple networks under the same name"
and then asks me for a WEP key. I can't seem to find this WEP key its looking for and this is the first I've heard of it since I've had this console.

Any way to remedy this?

I just ran into this error firing up my old Xbox 360. I had just deployed a new Unifi network, it seems the 360 doesn't like how modern networking equipment can broadcast one ssid representing both the 2.5 and 5ghz bands and throws this error trying to join.

I actually found the solution at the below reddit post. I had to disable all but one access point, and then on the remaining access point (closest to the Xbox of course) I disabled the 5GHz band, then my 360 was able to join my network.

Hey there bud thanks for keeping in touch.

If the previous steps didn't help the problem could be on the latest update of the console so we suggest

rolling back the update (solution 7) since this would remove and re-add the update. Give it a shot and let us know how it goes!
