    multiple issues forces factory reset

    Hi all

Just wanted to share my experience,I've had mine for well over a month now and was enjoying the games that I have etc. However I turned the machine on yesterday and it woul not play DVD's or blue rays(no error message it just goes to the blue screen where
you can hear the sound of the film but no picture) then the kinnect started randomly disconecting it's self every 20 seconds or so. Also things on the dash board like profile pic would not appear.

Anyway spoke to support nothing worked and the only option left was a factory reset which has fixed all of the issues.

However no one at support can tell me why this happened or ifit is likely to happen again, so now I am in the posistion of potentially started all my games again but maybe this issue happening again in future.

Any one else had a similar issue?

    :)

My console keeps locking up every time I try and install a new game.

In the most extreme case a factory reset maybe in order. What you can try to do first is a couple of things, remove your primary account from the xbox and then re-add the primary account (make sure you know the password). This will force xbox live to sync with the console. If you suspect you have networking issues, clear your mac address and hard reset the console. That is the easiest thing to try first. If the problem persists contact support. Also are you a member of the preview program or no ?

My Xbox one freezes & crashes since day one, literally.. Anyone else?

    Hi T00LF00L,

Sorry you're having issues with your console. I'm assuming you're talking about the latest NXOE update. Did your console crash before then? If you've done multiple hard resets on it, and you're still having issues, I would try doing a factory reset. Provided
that you play your games while connected to the internet your saves should be safely backed up in the cloud. You will however be required to reinstall all your games afterwards.

    Hello MattBeast,

I am sorry to hear that you are going through those inconveniences! I am glad to know though, that a Factory Reset did help bring everything back to normal. Microsoft is working around the clock to push out minor and major system updates to make the console
more stable. One major update that will improve the Social features of the console is coming out very soon! I know it's worrying you now, but just hold out a little longer for the system updates so that you have a chance to enhance your experience with Xbox.
You are not alone. Stay strong and good luck!

    Best regards,

    Chris

Hi All, Have you tried a total reboot? (green splash screen?) I would try this before doing a system default restore. With the console on, press and hold the power button on the console for 5-8 seconds until it shuts off. Unplug the power supply, wait
about 30 seconds and then plug it in and reboot. You should see the green splash screen upon reboot. It may take a minute to boot all the way to the home screen. If you did not see the green Xbox splash screen, please redo it.

This flushing of the memory and restarting the OS seems to solve many issue on the Xbox One at the moment until as Sirhc92 has advised - a patch comes out.
