Multiple Headset Failure

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone can assist me with the following issue.

Basically none of my sons headsets work on his XBox One S, he has a two genuine wireless xbox controllers and a set of SX_Elite and Turtle Beach Wired headsets.

Here is the testing I have done.

Both headsets were plugged into both controllers and nothing happens, both headsets were also tested on a wired controller, still nothing, this is all my sons xbox.

we tested the settings plugged into an iPad and the headsets worked.

I tested both headsets plugged into the wired controller on my Xbox One and they worked.

I connected the wireless controllers to my Xbox and tested both sets of headsets, neither worked.

Now im not too sure where the fault lies.

Both headsets appear to be working fine. But when plugged into the wireless controllers on both his and my XBox they don't work. But mixed results when plugged into the wired controller.

Could we missing a set up issue? I have checked everything side by side and nothing is different.

Any suggestions, would be much appreciated as he is getting annoyed that they both suddenly stopped working at the same time.

It could be the controllers. The headset jacks may be worn out. Have you tried other controllers by chance? Also some headsets require additional downloads directly from the manufacturers site. Mine required an entire app. You may want to check
and be sure nothing more is needed.

The controller jacks don't seem faulty as in they are quite a good fit when they are plugged in.

I would be annoyed if they were faulty as one controller is only 4 months old and the other is 4 weeks.

Will have a look at the manufacturers website.

Could it be to do with who the controllers are assigned to? Perhaps if you've tried them in a different console/controller then they might not pair with the controller on your son's Xbox? I have a Turtle Beach set and they work ok with my wireless controller
so far. Sorry to not give a more definite answer for you but I can imagine how frustrating this must be!

They were working fine, then just stopped.

They were only paired with a. different xbox after they had failed to work to test them.

Im a bit lost really and he's getting very frustrated

I have just gone to sign in as my son, but the headsets don't work on the wireless controllers when they are connected to my xbox, so don't think it can be a setting, or could it?
