Multiple games refuse to update

I just got Destiny and the Master Chief Collection for Christmas. I have both installed, and am stuck trying to install the updates. While updating, they both keep stopping, making me have to start them back up. Also, Destiny is stuck at 5% and MCC is stuck
at 1%. I have re installed both games twice now, but the problem still persists. I'm getting ready to give up on the update and just sell the games to somebody else.

Hey there - can you try connecting your console directly to your modem, bypassing your router's firewall? This would be just for the purpose of getting the update downloaded and installed.

 

Sorry to hear it. Head to the download queue and highlight one of the games and press the Start button. Then select Pause to put one on hold while the other downloads.

If that doesn't work then please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds.

 

You're suggestion didn't work. I only have Destiny downloading right now, but it keeps downloading, then saying it's queued (even though I have nothing else downloading) then downloading again, then queued, then at some points it just stops completely, making
me have to start it back up or it won't download.

 

Did you try the power cycle that I suggested as well?
