Multiple games not launching

Here's a possible cause:

My Son had his own xbox live account on the home xbox one until recently. We cancelled his subscription to that as I had Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass on my account.

Today, although games launch - For example Skyrim gets to the "press any button to continue" screen, pressing a button does nothing.

Minecraft won't sync user data, but launches as far as that screen. Both of these games were games he purchased on his xbox live account.

His account was cancelled on 22 March, all games were working fine until yesterday.

Is there anything else that could cause this?

Ok so, 2 possible issues, first is the games working fine for almost 4 weeks after cancellation: have you checked the subscription on your son's account to check that it was properly cancelled? It could be that you just cancelled payment, so the subscription
continued for a month and is now showing as passed due.

Secondly, your son's account not working off of your subscription; have you set up sharing correctly with your console set up as his home one and vice versa? More info on that here: https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/console/my-home-xbox

Yes, they do. I have multiple games installed through multiple launchers and clients such as riot games, steam, and epic games. I also have other freestanding games launching fine as well.

Is it a single game that is not starting, or multiple games? When you attempt to launch a game, what error message appears?

yes multiple times and I've reinstalled the game I was trying to launch but it still gives the same error

I doubt they will add it as they would be liable to a lot of refunds. The game was available on multiple platforms prior to the play anywhere program launched.
