    Multiple emails

I’ve received multiple emails stating “Second notice: Take action to update *****’s account” each time I did as instructed even though I never got a first notice. But yet I seem to get two of these a month. What’s the deal? It’s not like I’ve not given consent. This is what the email states:

“Your child needs your help to continue to access many Microsoft products, websites, online services, and apps like Outlook, OneDrive, Xbox, Bing, Skype, Windows, and Cortana. You’ll need to sign in to your Microsoft account to provide consent.

If you don’t provide consent confirmation for ***** by October 25, 2023, they’ll no longer be able to sign in to their Microsoft account. Sign-in attempts will prompt your child to seek the required parental consent.

Why do I keep getting these?

    :)

    Multiple emails

Hello Krista_2810, My name is David. I am an independent advisor, happy to help you today.

I understand that you are receiving recurring emails requesting you to update your Microsoft account. This can be confusing, especially if you have already followed the instructions provided.

First, it is important to mention that Microsoft will not ask you for security information about your account; which means that emails from unknown addresses requesting this type of information are totally false. Therefore, you should never fill out their forms or access the links suggested by them.

However, if you receive an email from the Microsoft Accounts team and the domain of the email address is @accountprotection.microsoft.com, you can open the message with confidence. Microsoft uses this domain to send email notifications about your Microsoft account. These notifications may include security codes for two-step verification and account update information, such as password changes.

If the emails you are receiving are legitimate and come from Microsoft, they could be about the need to confirm parental consent for your child's account. This is a security measure to protect minors and their data online.

If you have already given your consent and are still receiving these emails, I recommend that you log back into your parent account and review the notifications in your account.

    Best regards.

    Multiple Emails Multiple Gamertags

    Hey DU5KIE,

Looking into those accounts, it looks like only two have the same email address linked to them. To get the email changed, I would suggest giving

    Phone Support
a call, and have them switch it for you.

Let us know how that goes, or if you have anymore questions.

So i sign in under the email. How do I access each individual gamertag if they're all under the same email?

    Multiple Emails Multiple Gamertags

Hi there. What this sounds like is all of the "said" gamertags have the same 'Contact Preference' email associated to them. OP - what I suggest you do (if you can) is sign into each account here on xbox.com, then view the profile and see under your avatar
a list of options, one being 'Contact Preferences'. Select this option and from here change the email address shown in the box.

    Multiple Emails Multiple Gamertags

I had a similar issue with emails for my account but it was not because of a name change. It takes some time for the system to update to changes. From what CS told me, 2 weeks to a month. But you should probably contact CS by phone. They told me the
system is not designed to have multiple accounts using one email unless they are a family plan. It could actually corrupt a gamertag account and make it unusable. This is of course just what they told me. I don't know the facts. However it might be a good
idea to call and explain the situation to them.
