Multiple Controllers Drifting

• What Console are you using?
  
• Can you provide us the OS build number of the console?
  
  (Go into settings > System > Console Info)
  
• May we know where did you see this drift? What games have you seen this behavior in and what games or process does this not occur in?
  
• Lastly, where did you purchased each controller?

I'm using my Xbox One S, it's around 5 or so years old.

The IS build is 10.0.22621.2216.

I first saw the drift while playing Overwatch, but it persists across all games, and the Xbox menus and keyboard can get hard to navigate since it's registering my right joystick at the same time. Before around a year and a half ago, I didn't have any problems with my controllers.

I've purchased my controllers from a few places (Best Buy, Memory Express, Amazon)

The drift moves my joystick quite quickly compared to normal drift, where it's not very noticeable (my screen will move up to the top in less than a second). It isn't a buildup of drift, it just suddenly appears one day when I play after around half a year. It becomes more and more common the following days until I have to buy a new controller.

Stick drift is unfortunately a very annoying issue that affects a lot of controllers. I've had some controllers survive through years of heavy gameplay and never get any stick drift others, and others that suffer from stick drift within a matter of months.
This has been the case across multiple consoles and multiple generations, it seems like an unavoidable issue.

As for the batteries, are you using new batteries each time, rechargeable batteries or the play and charge kit?
