Multiple Consoles - One Live/Game Pass Account

Hi,

I have an Xbox One in my living room that has Gold and Game Pass. My question is, if I buy a Xbox One for my son to put in his bedroom, will he still be able to log into my account and use Game Pass on his console?

The easiest way is to just purchase it on both accounts.

When you purchase content it's tied to the gamertag it was purchased on as well as the console it was purchased on. The console license allows all profiles on a console to access the content. So say Player-A purchases the game on console-2, Player-B can
access the game also and Player-A can redownload the game on console-1 and play it as long as they are signed into Live.

Ah. I see. And since there is a limit on the number of license transfers (once per year), it probably isn't worth the hassle as Smwutches implied.

Let me try and simplify this as best as I can. Put both accounts on your friends console and make all the purchases from your gamertag on that console. Now download your profile to your console do a license transfer and both of you guys can play the MP game
while saving a few bucks in the process

I said it would be easier to purchase it on both accounts. Which yes, would mean to make 2 separate purchases.

The description I gave you is how licenses work and is another option, but it can be trickier. It's also not meant to be used as a way of sharing games really.
