Multiple accounts on one xbox gold

Is it possible to have one xbox gold account and just have multiple gamertags to use on different consoles? for example I have an Xbox one and my 2 kids each have an xbox 360, Right now I am paying for 2 gold accounts for the 360's (Just got the One so its
on a trial) Is there a way to get one gold account and just have separate tags that they can sign on at the same time or will I have to pay for 3 separate gold accounts?

I think so yes but for a single xbox, it takes the single live account and all users can access features behind the paywall as if they had gold on that console.

arthurdentpc has 3 xbox's tho, and the old "family" bundle allowed each user to effectively have their own gold membership, so gold on each user which translated to gold on each console, now its gold to anyone on the single xbox....

So I assume on single xbox families the new system is much better, but on multiple xbox families its not as good. Its not super clear tho how this new gold system will work on xbox one, but it does read like arthur is shafted rather unfairly in this new scenario.Click to expand...

If that is the case who gets to use their gold account on other machines? They've clearly said that. Just like now, your live subscription follows you to whatever Xbox console you use. So who on that original console can take their account to another console?

No family pack but want to set up a second xbox live gold account

There is unfortunately no replacement for this on Xbox 360. If you want multiple profiles to access Gold features, you need multiple Gold subscriptions.

However, on Xbox One there is Home Gold which means all users enjoy the benefits of Gold, so long as just one user actually has a Gold account.

With the Xbox One a primary Gold account can set the console as their home Xbox. Doing this allows gold sharing and downloaded content to be used by all people on the console irregardless of gold status. Note that you can only have 1 home Xbox, and
can only select a home console 3 times a year.

Just to add, the gold sharing is only an option on the One. Each account has to have their own gold subscription if they still want to play online on the 360.

Unless something changed xbox ones with multiple accounts can share gold. So I have an account v3 on my home xbox that can have gold access due to having gold on the one. Not sure how it works with backwards compatibility.

Axemator is correct Xbox 360 you need to buy separate gold subscription for each user account to go on xbox live whereas Xbox one all you need is one gold account which can be transferred from xbox 360 and you can then make multiple accounts that will get
gold benefits for free on Xbox one only.

To add onto the gold sub bit, one single gold sub will cover multiple accounts on the Xbox One too. You share the one subscription so its worth the cost imo.
