My kids just got the new Call of Duty Black Ops III for the XBOX 360. They said they can play with other people online but when they try to do it together it doesn't work but they said they were able to do this with Black Ops II. Any suggestions???

The game industry is the only one that feels it is justified in attempting to restrict used game sales, specifically, pretty much only EA and Ubisoft. Gears 3 has dedicated servers, but it doesn't have an online pass, so that's not an excuse. DVDs, CDs,
none of them have this.

It's just stupid. If I have two xboxes, I need to buy 2 copies of a game in order to play on both? If I want to loan the game to a friend he has to pay $10 to play something already on the disc?

I don't know why people would defend this practice. Eventually games aren't even going to be playable unless you buy them new and enter 5 codes and you guys just keep defending it...

A Gold subscription is required to play online.

Yes a gold subscription is required. But I believe the 360 version does not support split screen gameplay at all.

Here renting is quite rare i would say non existant for the most.

( i dont have a single shop renting games in 100 miles).

I meant i don't know how big is the used game market in the US.

You can find any used game 7 days after the release, at most.

Possibly people who just get the achievements and sell it or don't care of MP.

The online pass thing is lame but it is the future. Game developers have already started releasing games at full price with fewer maps on average than they used to so they could sell the rest to us later. They started releasing unfinished untested games
knowing that they can just patch it after release. Now they are going to start charging us extra for online play if we don't buy new. wouldn't be surprised if later we have to pay for online play regardless of whether or not we bought new.

Sad story but until now gamers have just paid the extra price so I would not expect it to change.
