multiplayer maps a bit de-ja-vu

ive been watching the mp maps on youtube and

cant help feeling ive been there before

they seem to be very similar to the maps

in previous cods or is it just me or have i been

playing cod too long

I think you can get a cream for that.

 

The game utilizes a three-lane map design which gives it a very familiar look.

This is the same design ideology that Call of Duty 2, Modern Warfare, Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops followed. It's the ideology fans love as it reads well and limits frustration as opponents can only come one of three ways, not one of fifteen ways in say
Modern Warfare 3 or Ghosts.

The issue with this design though is it does end up looking somewhat formulaic as there is only so much you can do. This is why League of Legends pretty much only has one map because another map would merely be a re-skin of the previous one.

If it's any consolation while these maps do look like every map from some of the best Call of Duty games in the past. Take solace that these maps will also likely play just as well and be just as fun as some of the best Call of Duty games in the past.

 

they can come one of three ways but hide..camp etc a million ways lol, too many buildings that are accessible ruin the experience but have to agree the maps seem a bit of the same as previous and didnt they use dome on the following cod but changed the layout,
to me thats lazy developement

 

Hey if they made a cliffside (3 way WaW map) I would be ecstatic

 

Ill take a map system based on cod 2 mw1 and bo series. I like a map where a sniper can get into a place and only have to worry about one entrance. Or me being able to capture a zone with only worrying about grenades and people funneling in from one or
two directions. I don't mind that and would rather have redone maps from any of the above mentioned games than anything from ghosts.

 

One of the maps is a CoD4 re-do. Not sure about the others.

 

It doesn't matter to me. Like I have said and have done over the past few cods. I will wait a few weeks and check the reviews and youtube gameplay. If things look good I will get it, if not then no.

 

What I will say and noticed, is that after viewing the Optic live stream yesterday. The maps that were played, played small. All the action really went towards the middle. Many great lines of sites for snipers and ARs. Now I really did like seeing the use
of the smg in yesterday's stream. It was a laser gun with all the attachments and perks it had.

 

i will come on here and find out if this game has lag comp, if it does i wont be buying it

 

Why even ask? You know it will, all COD games us lag comp.
