Multiplayer is blocked

So, somehow my account was identified as needing to be a child account even though there has never even been a child account anywhere near my xbox one and I am WAY over the age of consent. I am not allowed to play multiplayer games even though all settings
everywhere are “allow” and “everyone” and I have checked that both on the website and on the xbox. I have set and undone and reset those values multiple times. I have deleted and uploaded my profile multiple times. I have rebooted the xbox multiple times with
all these changes. I have created an adult account, started a microsoft family and used that adult account to change all the settings in hopes it would give me the permission for multiplayer. Yes. Multiplayer is markedallowed in the settings. Nothing has worked.

I cannot get this account to be acknowledged as an adult account. I spent 7 hours trying to fix this and chatting in xbox support to get help to fix this yesterday.

Until this week, the account did not act like a child account and I could access all settings and preferences through it, both online and on the xbox. However, I could not do multiplayer. Then I purchased Minecraft (instead of playing on game pass) and it began
acting completely like a child account. However, this is an account issue. I cannot play multiplayer on any games.

I tried changing my birthday thinking it thought I was too old not to be a kid, too. So frustrated.

I really dont want to create a new account. I am me. I have progress in games and creations and I like my account. Any suggestions? Anyone else have this problem? Only solutions and articles I’ve found are about when kids turn 18. That is not me. Thank you.

You can change these settings from the Xbox Setting screen in Account tab

So, when I call they tell me I need to go online and request a call back. That’s the only option I have. But when I go online to do that it says it’s unavailable at this time so there’s no calling and talking to anyone and I spent probably five of the
seven hours yesterday chatting online to no avail. I can’t get in touch with Microsoft. I wish I could I tried so that’s why I was here. this is so messed up. Thanks man

Iv already tryed of that and got someone else to sign in on my account on their xbox one and yes other people can join this problem is with Xbox.com not saving the settings how many times do i after tell you all this

Hello Parker,

If you have an Xbox console, remove your account completely from it. Power off the console then unplug it. Once that is all done log into the website again and try and change the settings. See if that works if it doesn't you will need to contact support
as it may be an issue with the profile.

When you go to Contact Usto get it to request a callback follow these steps:

Step 1 ----select Xbox One
Step 2 ----select see other options then subscription changes
Step 3-----select show contact options

Step 4 ----select request a call from support

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.
