Multiplayer gaming, why do you love it so much?

The reason that I'm asking this question is because I have been getting invited to play Raids and Crucible a lot lately.

I don't understand how Solo Gaming can be boring (no offense intended).

I don't understand why multiplayer is so popular (no offense intended).

I'm not a big multiplayer fan, don't get me wrong, I'm not against it. When I was younger in the old Cod 4 days it was brilliant, we'd play for hours. These days I'm not as keen. What does annoy me is when you're forced to play multiplayer for the good gear
like Destiny or Division, that miffs me, or even when devs don't even do a single player.

As of not understanding it Lei, there's is, and will, be a lot of things one does not understand about people. Tis the way it is I'm afraid. For instance when me and the fiance are watching a movie, she'll play on the Ipad too. Then keep asking me every
10 mins what has just happened. I find it crazy, yet she still does it.

Such is life dude.

 

I'm with The Kid on this one, COD 4 was the best. But it just doesn't have the same appeal anymore and yes I do still play MP but only with a few friends.

 

I play sp games most of the time , but mp games are great with family members that live in different places.

 

having 5 kids and a full time job i don't really find time to do or get deeply involved in single player games these days so multiplayer is the way for me.

Sometimes, for me and depending on the game, I like have interaction with other people. For example, I love playing Ark alone. I have 3 different bases, on 3 different parts of the island. But there are parts of the game, caves & such, that I can't do on
my own, regardless of my level and how many Dinos I take with me. So it's nice to bring someone else in and get that support.

 

Use to like MP games till they started punishing players for leaving or communication issues(not cursing or abuse, just not willing or able to comm.). I get it if it's habitual but sometimes you gotta go or mic sucks. I have never entered a match unless
I can complete. Never bailed. Never had a problem or been punished for it, but...just think that the rule could use work. Dark souls was great at this, you were not allowed to communicate, other than signs. And if you left, the other team won or had one less
villain...

 

What Game punishes for not using a Mic? I got to say, I missed that one?

 

In some MP games Non comm can be reported as a comm violation...

 

Alas, I don't have an answer for you chief. Being reported on a comms violation can range from abusive to saying nuthing.

 

Okay then, imagination stuff. Makes sense now why I haven't seen it ever.

 

Dude chill...if you believe that people dun get reported for comms violations for not speaking then great. Continue...why are you talking?...Oh...to me?....

 

I don't love it and mute everyone every time, there's nothing more uncomfortable than hearing a 10 year olds voice. I know right, But my Kids mature enough! Yeah right.

It's not that I believe people do not get reported but it was your assertion that people are punished via the Game from not using a Mic. There is a distinct difference between those two statements.

It is not my position to justify what I believe if you make the assertion to begin with. You said people are punished in MP Games for not using a Mic, I reject that claim (or clam...).
