Multiplayer gaming, why do you love it so much?

Please understand that it isn't my intention to be mean / rude by asking this question and I sincerely apologize in advance if it comes across that way.

I play 1% cooperative modes in Destiny. 99% of the time, I play solo.

I really enjoy that 1% of cooperative modes that I played where I can use " Lone Wolf Tactics " in the Daily Heroic story missions, level 28 Prison Of Elders, the level 36 Strike Playlist, Nightfall Strikes, and the level 42 Prison Of Elders.

I didn't play much of the level 41 Strike Playlist before (I played some) but I completely avoid it now because every week there are modifiers applied to them.

Im deffo a singleplayer gamer, dont do much multiplayer gaming. I love getting sucked into the story and enjoying a single experience more than any multiplayer ive ever played

 

Will Next Gen Break The Mediocre Streak?

Personally I would love for multiplayer and singleplayer to be totally separate games. But the integration between multiplayer and singleplayer next gen is an interesting concept if done right will be huge. Multiplayer only titles like titanfall do not
appeal to me because im sorry if it doesn't have a compelling singleplayer campaign then its just not worth playing. Which is why I hate COD they focus to much on multiplayer and not enough on story. I truly don't understand why multiplayer is so important
amongst gamers. Keep in mind I have played my fair share of multiplayer concept. Perfect example is games like Skyrim or Oblivion. These are two games on PC that have no multiplayer yet are still fun as hell do to the wonderful gaming community and user
created mods

 

90% pawning nubs

9% stopping tryhards with the skill-hammer

1% because AI's get boring

Oh yeah, Codependent... eerr I mean "Co-op" Game modes are really boring.

single player games is fine because you already go in knowing exactly what you are in for but playing with friends and achieving goals is much more rewarding (destiny is a prime example of where playing with friends is exactly what the game is designed for).

 

I don't I hate them. I like poker once in awhile but Xbox doesn't have a good poker game anymore I did redownload Texas Hold em once I saw it was backwards compatible but seems like no one plays it anymore or couldn't find a game

 

because venturing out to the local pub or walking down the street at night is a *** site more dangerous than being social on xbox live these days, least you can mute anybody bugging you, on the street it is fight to the death around my neighborhood. Plus
im idle and like to socialise without moving lol.

 

I used to only play SP games and loved it until I started playing Halo 3 MP in 2007. That game is what started my MP and I have never looked back. Playing SP games is boring. In MP you never know what your opponent will do unlike SP where the enemy AI can
become predictable.

 

I don't love it. Party chat ruined it. I miss all the smack talk.

 

I enjoy it because I can play with relatives who live a long distance away from me. We enjoy playing coop games, but also, Ark, some COD, and RTS games. It all depends, but it's nice to chat and play. I generally don't chat with other people online besides
family. Plus it's a change from the AI solo games

I find multiplayer to be more stressful and frustrating then to have feelings of love for it.

 

Because humans have a natural need for social even shy people. Just like animals are very social too. And it makes you feel a part of something too and you always have somebody to play with. Dont under estimate the power of friendship. I like being lone
wolf sometimes. I do have a full xbox 360 friends list.

 

It seems like you have a recent obsession with this topic, Lei.

I like the competitive nature of PvP, it's awesome when you're just stomping everyone in your path, but it's also cool when you get completely humbled by the opposite team as well.

Coop is more the social aspect of it, even if I'm not using the mic things like the emotes in Destiny still let me interact with players so there's been some fun moments even with non-verbal communication.

 

I enjoy multiplayer. Gives a break to solo. I play solo most though.
