Multiplayer games via xbox pass on PC

It depends on what subscription you currently have.

There are several different subscriptions, that allow you to do different things.

There is the
Xbox Live Gold membership, that allows you to play online multiplayer against other people on Xbox Live, and you get some free games each month as the "Games with Gold" program, and special discounts in the "Deals with Gold".

Since you mention "The Outer Worlds", this is a game currently in the
"Game Pass" subscription. Game Pass is like "the Netflix for games", where you pay a monthly fee, and can play the games currently available via Game Pass.

However, if you ONLY have the Game Pass subscription, you can only play the single player part of the game. Multiplayer would ALSO require you to have the Gold Membership subscription.

If you find you do need both Gold and Game Pass, you could try and get
"Game Pass Ultimate", which combines the Gold membership for online Multiplayer via Xbox Live, the Xbox Game Pass subscription AND the

PC Game Pass subscription, which allows you to play games on the PC as well. All for the price of the Gold membership and Xbox Game Pass alone .

Thanks for the reply. so if I switch from Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to Xbox Game Pass for PC (Beta) which costs less and is oriented only to PC players, if I install a game from the catalog and this game also has multiplayer I cannot play multiplayer with
the only Xbox Game Pass for PC (Beta) ? it seems absurd ..... -.-"

Also, if you purchase Game Pass first, then it would be converted to Ultimate and if you cancel ultimate, you would lose your Game Pass subscription. So if you do cancel Ultimate, do it first before you downgrade to just Game Pass.

Which subscription are you downgrading to, is it Xbox Game Pass, PC Game Pass, or Game Pass Core?

If Game Pass Core, you will only have access to just over 30 games that are part of the Game Pass catalogue, and online multiplayer.

If Xbox Game Pass, you will have access to all the Game Pass games on the Xbox Console, and no online multiplayer.

If PC Game Pass, then you will have access to all the Game Pass games on the PC including EA Play, and online multiplayer.

Are you on PC or Xbox? What games are you trying to play online multiplayer on? Don't forget, you have to have a subscription to play online multiplayer on Xbox. Game Pass Core or Game Pass Ultimate will give you access to online multiplayer on Xbox.
